How long does shipping take?
Typical end-to-end delivery is 10–21 business days: 2–5 days processing in Kandy (sourcing from growers, export documentation), 7–14 days international air freight from Sri Lanka, and 1–3 days local delivery once cleared by your country’s customs. Tracking links are sent at each major stage. Full breakdown is in our Shipping Policy.
Is this real Ceylon cinnamon — or is it cassia?
It is real Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum), hand-graded and bagged in Sri Lanka where the species originated. We do not sell, blend, or relabel cassia. Almost all “cinnamon” sold in US supermarkets is actually cassia (Cinnamomum cassia) — a different species with up to 1,200× more coumarin, a compound the EU restricts in food.
If you’d like to see the visual and chemistry differences for yourself, our Ceylon vs Cassia guide walks through how to tell them apart.
What payment methods do you accept?
Card payments via Stripe — Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and most international card networks. Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported on compatible devices. Stripe handles the card data directly; we never see or store your full card number.
Can I return a product if I’m not happy with it?
Sealed, unused items can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full product refund. Opened loose spices, dried herbs, seeds, live plants and cuttings, and custom or bespoke furniture orders are not returnable for food-safety and biosecurity reasons — but damaged-on-arrival or defective items are always covered: photograph the parcel within 14 days, email info@truenatura.com, and we re-send or refund in full.
Full details are in our Refund & Returns Policy.
Will I be charged customs duties when the parcel arrives?
Possibly. Once a parcel crosses an international border, the recipient is the importer of record — local customs duties, VAT/GST, or excise charges may apply depending on your country’s rules and are not included in our shipping cost. For most US orders of spices and dried herbs under personal-use thresholds, duty is typically zero, but we cannot guarantee customs treatment for any specific shipment.
Live plants and seeds also require an import permit from your country’s plant-health authority — please confirm before ordering. Full guidance is in our Shipping Policy.
Are your herbal products (ashwagandha, moringa, gotu kola) safe for me to take?
We sell dried botanicals as food and culinary ingredients, not as medicine. They have a long history of traditional culinary and herbal use across South Asia, but the FDA has not evaluated any health claims and we do not make any. If you are pregnant or nursing, taking prescription medication, have a diagnosed medical condition, or are giving the product to a child under 12, consult a qualified healthcare professional before regular use.
Our full Supplement & Botanical Disclaimer explains the regulatory context, what we do and don’t claim, and how to report any adverse reaction.
